FEMA Announces New FACP Manual

FEMA is pleased to present the 2023 National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Flood Adjuster Capacity Program (FACP) manual which was revised based on feedback received from participating Write Your Own (WYO) companies and adjusting firms.

The FACP outlines FEMA’s minimum standards of what every flood insurance professional should know before overseeing or adjusting claims on behalf of the NFIP. The FACP is designed to help increase the number of qualified NFIP adjusters and prepare them to adjust flood claims. Each participating WYO is encouraged to incorporate their own requirements and standards for adjusters handling their claims in addition to the minimum standards set in the FACP.
